If you need to protect cargo, start where it stands still. Yards and docks bring together trucks, drivers, visitors and product, and that is where a lapse becomes a loss.
1. Inspect every truck
Check tractors and trailers at entry and exit, and log each movement with time and evidence.
2. Control who enters the yard
Staff, drivers and visitors must be identified and limited to their designated areas.
3. Watch the handling
Loading and unloading is the most exposed moment. A guard on site with clear orders changes the risk.
4. Check the seals
Verify the number and condition of each container seal and record any discrepancy.
5. Add a K9 layer
Canine teams add inspection and deterrence, and support your C-TPAT and OEA requirements.
